About ThankzWorld

Last updated: October 18, 2026

ThankzWorld AI Detector is built and operated by Todd Hankerson, an independent founder in Georgia, through his company ThankzWorld LLC. There's no app to download and no account to create — you text a photo or a social media video link to a phone number, and you get an automated reply telling you whether it looks AI-generated.

“I built ThankzWorld because more and more of what I saw online, I couldn't tell what was real or fake, and checking it took too many steps. Everybody already knows how to send a text, so I made the check a text. I test it on real posts every day, and when it misses something, I work on the fix.” — Todd

Why it exists

AI-generated photos and videos are showing up everywhere — on social media, in marketplace listings, in messages from people you don't know well — and most people don't have a fast, low-friction way to check one when something feels off. ThankzWorld was built to make that check as simple as sending a text.

How it works

Submitted content is run through an automated detection pipeline combining two independent AI-detection providers, Hive and Sightengine, with additional checks built in-house. You get a verdict and the detectors' AI-likelihood score back by text, usually within a minute or two. See the FAQ for details on accuracy, supported platforms, and pricing.

How you're charged

Your first checks are free. After that, you buy a pack of checks. A check only uses a credit when you get a clear answer: inconclusive results and links we can't open are never charged. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Where we stand on accuracy

We don't publish a specific accuracy percentage, because we haven't independently measured one against our own real-world traffic. Any number you might see elsewhere describing AI-detection providers generally isn't the same as ThankzWorld's own tested performance. Treat every result as a best-effort signal, not a guarantee — see our Terms and Conditions for the full disclaimer.
